I have a rather long entry to write, for several reasons, but I don’t have time right now, and don’t know when the words will be there.

1) Not only did I accomplish my goal of being a footnote being a footnote before my 30th birthday. I (well, WE, LTTC’ers) made wikipedia.

Just Rachel 129: we’ve made wikipedia btw
NascentIgnorance: hm?
Just Rachel 129: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:CryptoDerk/2001USAD
NascentIgnorance: wow
NascentIgnorance: nice
NascentIgnorance: this makes me way happier than it should
Just Rachel 129: i know
Just Rachel 129: 50 years from now, we’re going to be reflecting upon this whilst “glory days” plays in the background
NascentIgnorance: and then i’ll stab you in the face for listening to bruce springsteen
Just Rachel 129: haha, whatever
Just Rachel 129: you know what i mean
NascentIgnorance: hey who did score highest for us
NascentIgnorance: was it me or joe
Just Rachel 129: joe
Just Rachel 129: joe was highest on our team, you were 3rd overall high for C team
NascentIgnorance: right
Just Rachel 129: which i would have beaten you for, had i not been immersed in boy drama
NascentIgnorance: what
Just Rachel 129: i beat you at regionals and states, i would’ve destroyed you at nationals, had i studied
NascentIgnorance: that’s like saying if it wasn’t cold out in winter, i wouldn’t've slipped on the ice
Just Rachel 129: if it hadn’t been for my boy drama and my awful interview i would had smashed you
NascentIgnorance: you’ll always have boy drama
Just Rachel 129: what
Just Rachel 129: i do not!
Just Rachel 129: ok, well i do
NascentIgnorance: shut up, it’s total gets
Just Rachel 129: shut up, that was different
NascentIgnorance: more than 50% of your relationships are spent in drama
Just Rachel 129: that was “i just got brutally dumped and cheated on” boy drama
NascentIgnorance: right
NascentIgnorance: well that is true
Just Rachel 129: right and then i got that inAproPRIate interview question
Just Rachel 129: i’m still bitter about my nationals score
Just Rachel 129: not bitter on a day to day basis
Just Rachel 129: i mean, bitter, like when i remember it i get mad at myself for not being the best
NascentIgnorance: right
NascentIgnorance: well how do you think i feel about states
Just Rachel 129: right
Just Rachel 129: and how sad is it that we have these feelings, even in the smallest capacity, in the first place?
Just Rachel 129: :-)
NascentIgnorance: the reason we have them is the reason we got to nationals
Just Rachel 129: haha
Just Rachel 129: yes, you and i studying decathlon hardcore in lisa’s room….in november
Just Rachel 129: when jon was playing intraumural basketball, erin wasn’t even on the team, and dan was being all church going.
NascentIgnorance: haha
Just Rachel 129: and i guess that’s why we’re such good friends now. common history! awwwwwwwwwwwwww hugs

2) The Dar Williams song “The Hudson” on her new album is quite beautiful and every New Yorker should hear it. And while I am not a New Yorker, proper, there is a reason this journal is entitled “Across the River on the Jersey Side.” (Hint. I can see the river from my window.)

3) I am really happy right now. To borrow from my conversation with Michael last night:

Just Rachel 129: hey, maybe my reason for moving to NYC wasn’t a good, but I think I’ve done a pretty good job
Five tenn: i don’t.
Five tenn: you’ve done a GREAT job

And on that note, I am off to dinner and a NaNoWriMo party. I shall return to babble in this space about optimistic, idealistic garbage soon!
